Proud as Punch ~ Evolve delegate scoops top award

May 10th, 2009

Photographer Martin Hill is already hitting the high notes as he launches into the top flight of social photography. The last ten months have been a full on learning experience for Martin and his team and I am pleased to say they have come through Evolve with flying colours.

This fabulous shot taken in Somerset was lit with a Broncolor Mobil flash and secured Martin his first gold award from his first ever professional competition entry.

Surreal and stunning. Sensational images like these come easily to Martin.

Surreal and stunning. Sensational images like these come easily to Martin. The award winning won't stop here and you'll see a lot more of Martin Hills work in the years to come.

“I just thought I’d share a little bit of success with you all. My first two images ever submitted for a competition got a silver and gold. I’m putting it down to everything I’ve learned through Lovegrove Consulting, from Marko to Damien and everybody in between. I know its only an industry award but it gives me the confidence to know that I can do this. Thanks guys.” – Martin.

I know you can do it. You now have all the skills and the business acumen to get the top jobs, and together with that new Broncolor Mobil kit you’ve just invested in ;) you are set to go.

Well done – Damien.

Very very nice. Well done Martin. (I’d buy one and I don’t even know them.) The second image wouldn’t look out of place in a Gallery. Thanks for sharing them.

    Congratulations Martin.

I’ve just visited your website – I could almost hear Damien’s voice as I looked through your gallery.

    Superb.

    Best wishes,

    John

Thanks to all for the deluge of emails and phone calls of support and of course the really nice comments on Damien’s blog. For those of you who are considering the Evolve programme then it’s simple! Do it! I’ve learnt so much from the 10 months on the programme, both from a business element and of course technically. Look at the cost of the programme as an investment in you and your business and you won’t go far wrong as long as you put the effort in.

One thing though that is worth mentioning about Evolve is the friendship factor that is built over the 10 months with your fellow delegates and trainers. This can be a lonely profession and having the opportunity to fire off an email or make a call to an equally creative person is invaluable. Evolve is a concept and reaches far greater than a 10 month course, once completed your in the Lovegrove family and trust me, with the current climate we find ourselves in, it is where you need to be!

    Best wishes
    Martin Hill
