On Tuesday, Marko & I were in wunderbar Munchen and on Wednesday we were in Frankfurt. Excellent hospitality and precision organisation were provided by our hosts Romona and Philipp of Keepsakes.

Here I am discussing the perils of discounting in part of my business presentation while Peter in the foreground gets to grips with translating both the serious message and my light hearted banter.

The Munich audience transfixed by Marko's Lightroom and Photoshop magic.
These pictures here were taken on the Pentax K200D camera at ISO 1600 with a wonderful 10-17mm fish eye zoom lens. I’m reviewing the Pentax kit for Warehouse Express and I will write up a full report for their website in the very near future.

In Frankfurt we ate sausages - what else!

Gary Jorgensen of the albums that bear his name nipped over from Australia to finish the day with a masterclass on using his JAD album design software. Marko was at the helm of the computer and together they put on a impressive double act.

Ramona our host, explains the print preparation systems built into JAD while Gary and Peter take note.
While in Munich we took a look around to see how advertising and photography come together in Germany.

Marko by an advert in Munich airport baggage reclaim taken on my iPhone.

Big photographic prints adorn the shops in central Munich with colour and design in harmony. Shot on my 'classic' iPhone' (the old one).

Huge prints and video imagery fill the windows of this hair salon.
All in all we have had a wonderful trip, and who knows, we may well return to Germany in October for a longer stay.
Damien.
Hi Damien,
That sounds great, I look forward to downloading a copy soon.
All the best,
John
Thank you John P and Keith for your kind words.
Hi John,
Great idea! In fact I’m going one better than just the transcript, I’m going to release my first HD DVD on BluRay or as a download in the next couple of weeks. It is of my 2009 Canon talk where I deconstruct my portraiture to reveal my style and design secrets. I had the limited ticket event filmed by a BBC crew and it has just been made into a 40 minute production.
I’ll be doing the business of weddings lecture next. The Munich one was not ideal because of the need for an interpreter etc.
Damien.
Thanks so much for a very informative seminar last week,
especially you’re ideas on colour and composition.
Regards
Keith
Hi Damien would you ever consider publishing a transcript of your speeches/slides or even having a web conference? I am sure that many of your bloggers would be happy to pay for this as obviously we can’t attend all of your lectures. Regards John
Hi Damien and Marko,
It was great to meet you again, and thank you for a great seminar.
Looking forward to the next one..
John
